Job Description:

Atelier 19AD6, a startup Design and Build boutique firm known for high-quality craftsmanship, is looking for a Junior Designer and Project Coordinator to join our team in Oakland/San Francisco, CA. This dynamic role is ideal for someone who is both creative and organized, able to assist in design development while also supporting project management efforts. Key Responsibilities:

Design Assistance

- Collaborate with senior designers to develop design concepts for residential and commercial projects.

- Prepare detailed drawings, renderings, and presentations using design software (e.g., Chief Architect, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit).

- Source materials, finishes, and fixtures to meet project requirements.

- Assist in maintaining design integrity throughout the construction process.

- Communicate design ideas through visual and written presentations.

Project Coordination

- Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and tracking project timelines and deliverables.

- Communicate with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure all project goals are aligned.

- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and meeting notes.

- Assist in resolving issues that arise during project execution and report updates to management.

- Monitor project budgets to ensure efficiency and timely completion.

- Leverage Houzz Pro for project management, including client communication, budgeting, and tracking project progress.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, construction management, or related field.

- Proficiency in design software (Chief Architect, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).

- Experience using Houzz Pro is preferred.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management software is a plus.
