General contractor based out of Hayward seeks a project engineer to be on site and assist superintendent to manage the project. Experience in Procore is required as that is what is currently being used for this project.
Qualifications:
1. Organization and problem-solving skills
2. Ability to use Procore for collaboration and time management, including spreadsheets
3. Experience with inventory control and process improvement
4. Strong time management and analytical skills
5. Firm understanding of complex mathematical concepts
6. Proven leadership skills
7. Strong communication skills
8. Ability to read / understand drawings and specifications
Responsibilities:
1. Work on site in the construction trailer (Project is located in Hayward)
2. Be active in the field to document the project/take pictures/manage deliveries
3. Assist superintendent with any issues as they arise
4. Generate RFIs/Submittals
5. Run the OAC meetings & take meeting minutes
6. Understand and enforce all safety requirements for a job of this nature
7. Handle all coordination between design team, GC, subcontractors, owner, utility companies, etc.
9. Generate schedules with input from subs, GC construction team, utility companies, etc.
Requirements:
1. Bachelors Degree in Construction Management preferred (can be substituted with experience)
2. 5+ years of experience in PE role or junior PM roles
3. Valid CA DL
4. Background checks may be conducted if required for the various projects we work on
