Bilingual Personal Development and Community Promotor

ABOUT YOU

Do you speak Spanish and English? Are you passionate about partnering with Latinx/Hispanic people with disabilities? Are you naturally kind, curious, and a good listener? Do you care about inclusion and self-empowerment? You might come from a professional or educational background that is very different from this field, but if you love connecting with a diverse range of people in a dynamic, creative way, you will thrive at ICS! We’ll provide you with on-the-job training every step of the way.

ABOUT THE JOB

You’ll support Spanish and English-speaking individuals with disabilities as they achieve their goals and build independence. There will be two main components to your job responsibilities: in-home support and community-based support. In-home support can range from teaching cooking skills to a young adult living with their parents to providing supervision and conflict resolution between roommates and helping seniors manage their medication. Community-based support will focus on bringing Spanish speakers with disabilities together for social events and training opportunities. There will be a ton of room to express your creativity!
