Five Star Catering is looking for one or two awesome event supervisors for our upcoming wedding season. Applicants should have extensive experience in the catering and/or banquet world and be comfortable in a leadership role on site. Responsibilities include primary event day communication with client, onsite managing, directing, and training of service and bartending staff, supporting the catering team with hands on tasks, and ongoing commuication with owner and banquet captain team. Shifts are primarily Saturday and Sundays (although there are a few Thursday Friday opportunities if available) and are typically ten hour shifts (12pm-10pm, for example) Candidates must be able to navigate challenging situations while keeping a positive attitude and motivating staff. Number of shifts per month varies based on event schedule and your situation, with opportunity for a few shifts per month up to 6-8 shifts per month. If you are looking to supplement income with flexible weekend work, this can be a great match since schedule can be coordinated months in advance. Must be fluent in English and have reliable transportation throughout Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties.
