This is an ideal position for a Senior/ Lead Server that is ready to take the next step in their hospitality career. In this position you will oversee the front of house while working as part of the team on the floor. Maintain smooth operations, improve procedures and steps of service. Adapt to the current style and culture of the business and maintain it to start, and help advance our processes and procedures going forward to improve efficiencies.
Seeking a motivated individual with proven experience and aptitude with the following:
Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
Coordination of daily Front of the House restaurant operations
Organization and supervision of shifts and front of house crew
Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
Schedule shifts and ensure coverage when employees are out
Keep inventory up to date and accurate on all sales tools
Estimate and order future needs for goods, utensils, and cleaning products
Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
Manage our good image and suggest ways to improve it
Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
Aid in the booking and planning of private events
Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and events
Recommend potential promotions and ideas to reach a broader audience
Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
Hire and train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
Qualifications
Proven work experience in the restaurant industry at a senior level
Proven and referenceable customer service experience in a leading position, if not in other senior restaurant roles
Extensive food and beverage (FandB) knowledge, with the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
Familiarity with restaurant management software and Microsoft Excel
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
Acute financial management skills
Sommelier Status, BS degree in Business Administration, Large Shop management experience, hospitality management, or culinary schooling is a plus
