Electric Bike Rental & Shop assistant - SF’s best bike adventure company since 2013
Join our awesome small team of passionate cyclists, San Francisco enthusiasts, and SF’s best bike tour guides. We care about delivering the highest quality local experience that is a cut (or three!) above what any other bike rental or tour companies offer in the city. You’ll work with locals and visitors from around the world starting at a cool workshop space in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, just one block from GG Park.
About us: Dandyhorse (sfbiketours.com) is SF’s finest bike adventure company. Since 2013 we’ve offered the best guided tours and bike rentals, serving guests from all 50 states and over 65 countries. Our exclusive fleet of electric bikes, next-level service, and dedication to giving an authentic local experience means locals and visitors get the ultimate SF bike experience, every time.
What this gig entails
overseeing our rental fleet of 20+ electric bikes including the nuts and bolts of renting bikes
mapping out routes (we have a cool app with awesome GPS routes) and giving SF recs
simple bike fleet maintenance
shop organization and various shop projects
responding to customer inquiries, etc. This includes customer interaction (in-person, via email/phone) and through our online booking engine.
Test riding bikes
Improving the customer experience (the physical shop space, the rental flow, the communication process)
Some light marketing and design tasks
Salary range: $20-$25+/hr. depending on experience + tips . Bonuses and cool perks available for high performance.
Work Availability:20+ hours per week, including weekends

Job Requirements
At least a year (preferably 2+) working in the bike, tourism, or hospitality industry
Passionate about bikes (you are an active cyclist)
Has a working knowledge of bike mechanic (adjusting brakes, fixing flats, oiling chains, etc.)
Has a deep knowledge of San Francisco (you love sharing your fave things about the city!) and how to get around by bike. This is not a gig for new SF arrivals / amateurs
You're upbeat (you like and care about people!) and give excellent customer service
Has a demonstrated track record of being reliable, hardworking, and taking pride in their work.
Preferably live in San Francisco
