Food manufacturing - Pickles

Food Manufacturing positions available. Making fresh cold-cured pickles.

The positions are once a week, every Wednesday starting at 1pm at our commercial kitchen in Santa Cruz. The starting pay is $17/hr as an independant contractor, you keep all your pay at the end of each work day. The job usually takes 8-10 hours depending on how many jars of pickles are scheduled that week. No overtime pay.

Previous experience working in commercial kitchens, restaurant kitchens, or handling food is helpful but not required. You will be trained on exact health codes, company standards, manufacturing procedures and how to make our product on the job. You must either already have a Food handlers certificate/ServeSafe or you must get one within 30 days of being hired. It can be taken online in about 3-5hrs for $8.00.

This job requires you to be on your feet while working. You will have two seperate 15min breaks and one 30min lunch break each work day. We are looking for reliable people who want to work and are willing to always be on time consistantly. Too many days off will result in you being let go. Besides that, all that is needed is a willingness to listen and learn.
