We are seeking a skilled cook to join our team at our restaurant in Inner Richmond. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for supporting the Head Chef in leading the day-to-day culinary operations for B Star Bar. The Kitchen Manager helps to lead the Culinary Team with professionalism, respect, efficiency, knowledge and awareness. This position will manage junior staff members while upholding restaurant standards for quality and sanitation.
This role collaborates closely with the Head Chef on all aspects of the culinary operations to help create high level expectations for our team. You will be responsible for ordering, kitchen execution, and staff management in collaboration with the Head Chef and executive team. You are expected to execute on the procedures set forth by the Head Chef, and uphold the values of the company.
Responsibilities:
Understand and executes all policies, procedures, standards, specifications and training programs set by the Head Chef and Management Team
Help ensure success in all stations of the kitchen and areas of the restaurant
Fill in at kitchen stations or for Head Chef when needed to ensure the efficient operation of kitchen
Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
Ordering and Vendor Management
Skills and Experience:
5+ years of professional culinary experience ( Asian cuisine a plus)
2+ years fine dining experience is a plus
Inventory, sanitation standards, scheduling, staff management
Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus
