Mint Group Hospitality is hiring for a Kitchen Manager with a proven and passionate background in Italian cuisine, pizza making and baking.
As Kitchen Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all the kitchen operations, including kitchen leadership, quality control and staff management.
Qualifications and Skills:
MUST prove experience as Kitchen Manager or Chef de Cuisine in Italian Cuisine.
Skilled in authentic Italian cuisine, with a focus on pizza preparation and baking methods.
Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Proficient in menu costing, budgeting, and inventory management.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary institution is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Ownership and Executive Chef to develop seasonal menus and daily specials.
Lead day-to-day kitchen operations
Maintain high standard of food quality consistency and presentation.
Staff Management:
Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, and kitchen assistants.
Schedule kitchen staff efficiently to meet operational demands while controlling labor costs.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
Train kitchen staff on proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
Working Conditions:
The kitchen manager typically works in a fast-paced kitchen environment, often standing for long periods and occasionally working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
May be exposed to high temperatures, sharp utensils, and potentially hazardous equipment, requiring adherence to strict safety protocols.
