Come join our team at Canela Bistro & Wine Bar (www.canelasf.com)! We are a Spanish and California Restaurant located between the Duboce Triangle and lively Castro neighborhoods in San Francisco.

We are seeking a lead line/sous chef who has a passion for food and service.

This is a cooking position. Candidates must be able to cook well, supervise the kitchen, help maintain organization and cleanliness, help keep the kitchen on a prep schedule, do some purchasing, assist with some catering, expo tickets and use some basic computer skills.

This position also writes the kitchen schedule (small staff). Must be able to communicate with English speaking and Spanish speaking staff. This position reports to the executive chef/owner. This person will collaborate with some menu creation/specials but most of the menu is set by the executive chef.

There is some flex in start/end time as well as day of week. No super long work days, we believe in quality of life. For candidates who work more than 32 hours a week, benefits are available.

In addition to hourly pay, there are some shared tips for this position.

To be considered, eligible candidates must have at least 5+ years cooking experience in a professional environment. Also, please have an exemplary team attitude and attention to detail.

Hours per week: 30-40, some flexibility

3/3:30 pm - 11/12 end time

Salary: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour, Plus shared tips, benefits, reimbursements
