Job Types: Part-time/full-time
Responsibilities:
Execute the making of rolls, sashimi and nigiri
Perform light prep and standard sushi bar operations
Ensure proper station set up and food execution
Possess the ability to take direction from all BOH management
Possess the ability to adapt to a stressful/changing atmosphere.
Be able to execute consistent products based on the recipes and procedures
Maintain the same level of food quality set by Head Chef
Occasionally assist with prep/cleaning and kitchen organization
Maintain food safety and sanitation, compliant with Department of Health standards
Position Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of Japanese cooking techniques and ingredients
Experience working in a high volume, fast paced kitchen
Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety at a level normally acquired through on-the-job training.
Self-driven work ethic and a desire to learn and grow
Have a food handler’s card.
Ability to read, write, and follow English oral and written directions and pay close attention to details when setting up trays, using portion control and sanitizing dishes and equipment.
