About the position:
Nisei is looking for individuals that are highly motivated, possess a positive attitude, dedicated to the hospitality industry, humble, team players, a desire to learn, respectful and honest. Prospective hires must have a minimum of 2 years cooking experience to apply.
We are looking for a Chef de Partie with a desire to learn about Japanese food and help us push the envelope to what Japanese food can be. The job will include learning about Japanese knife skills, Japanese cooking techniques, a base level of sushi preparation, Japanese confections, avant-garde cooking techniques using hydro-colloids and modern preparations.
Nisei is proud to source ingredients from the best local farms and purveyors the Bay Area has to offer. Nisei frequently visits farms and wineries for staff education and to establish an honest relationship with each purveyor.
