Seeking Experienced Chef for New BBQ Restaurant

We are looking for a talented Chef to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and executing our menu, managing the kitchen staff, schedule writing, ordering, invoices, and food costing. They will oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of our dishes, ensuring high standards of quality and consistency. They will have open availability and will work primarily work during PM service hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of smoked meats, sides, and sauces according to our recipes and standards.

Manage the smoker, meat schedule, pars and consistency of our smoked meats program.

Collaborate with management and ownership to develop new dishes and seasonal offerings.

Ensure kitchen cleanliness and adherence to food safety regulations.

Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering ingredients and supplies as needed.

Work alongside AM kitchen manager to ensure operations run smoothly.

Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques, improving skills and ways of working.

Maintain a positive and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring timely service during peak hours.

Qualifications:

3-5 years kitchen manager experience.

Proven experience as a chef in a barbecue or related kitchen environment.

Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, particularly smoking and grilling.

Familiarity with different barbecue styles (Texas, Carolina, Kansas City, etc.) is a plus.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
