Pay: up to $120,000 per year, full time Sushi Head Chef
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Head Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food preparation and a strong understanding of sushi techniques, as well as the ability to lead and manage kitchen staff. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of our restaurant while ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Strong knowledge of Japanese seafood, fish, product, and terminology
Prepare and present high-quality sushi dishes in accordance with restaurant standards
Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring food safety and cleanliness protocols are followed
Manage inventory control, including ordering and maintaining stock levels of ingredients
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative menu items and seasonal specials
Train and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging teamwork
Monitor food production processes to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes served
Maintain effective communication with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Requirements:
Strong culinary skills with a focus on sushi preparation and presentation
Experience in food service management, including kitchen management and team leadership
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
Familiarity with inventory management systems and menu planning processes
