The Behavioral Health Clinical Specialists play a critical role in providing integrated care and the highest quality of services for populations with significant mental health needs. As a Behavioral Health Clinical Specialist, you will oversee the daily functioning of clinical services, provide direct supervision to clinicians, and act as a liaison across Behavioral Health systems. You will ensure the delivery of quality care and make independent decisions regarding program operations, providing guidance, consultation, and clinical support as needed.
As an ideal candidate to join our team, you will demonstrate a passion for working with vulnerable populations, an ability to collaborate across systems, and possess many of the following:
Prior experience in providing clinical supervision and leadership, particularly in behavioral health settingsUnderstanding of systems serving vulnerable adults including homeless individuals and those struggling with substance use disorder as well as severe and persistent mental health challenges and problems with the criminal justice systemExcellent clinical skills in crisis intervention, assessments, therapeutic interventions, and treatment planning for individuals experiencing significant mental health challengesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively document and present informationAbility to work from a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive perspectiveThe ability and interest to develop and mentor staff to become excellent clinicians in a team-based modelKnowledge of advocacy and local resources
