The Natural Resources Program Supervisor will work in the Natural Resources Division and help facilitate ecosystem resilience for over 16,000 acres of park land. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing programs related to rangelands, wetlands and watersheds, forestry and fuels management, and other natural resource topics. Additionally, you will supervise and direct the work of staff, volunteers, and contractors engaged in monitoring, stewardship, and restoration activities.
Responsibilities of the Natural Resources Program Supervisor will include:
Facilitating fuels reduction, prescribed grazing, and vegetation and wildlife management
Managing complex restoration projects
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other governmental agencies, community groups, schools, staff, and private businesses
Responding to the public's questions and inquiries regarding natural resource management and assisting in delivering natural resources and outdoor recreation programs
Assisting in supporting web site content and materials for department promotional and communication activities
Assisting the Natural Resources Manager in the pursuit of grants and special funding avenues for park projects
