COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Serai Acupuncture and Wellness is a clinic newly founded in 2024. The company is headed by seasoned acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Dr. Tim Tran, who has been practicing since 2019. The clinic offers multiple modalities of treatments including acupuncture, cupping and physical therapy to specialize in treating complex pain conditions, sports injuries and neuropathies.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is a part-time on-site role beginning at 1-2 days a week for a Licensed Acupuncturist at Serai Acupuncture and Wellness in San Francisco, CA. The Licensed Acupuncturist will be responsible for providing acupuncture treatments to patients, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, maintaining patient records, and educating patients on wellness practices.
The acupuncturist will focus mainly on pain conditions and patients with injuries. On-site training and mentorship is offered for those interested in developing needling skills and pain management strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's or Doctoral degree in Acupuncture or Oriental Medicine
Valid state license to practice acupuncture
Excellent needling techniques and understanding of acupuncture trigger points
Knowledge of physical assessment, palpation techniques and basic manual muscle testing
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customer service focus
Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of acupuncture
Massage therapy background is recommended but is optional
Basic dry-needling or trigger point therapy experience is a pre-requisite for this position
