We are looking to hire a wonderful caregiver to join our existing really wonderful team of 7 caregivers to help my dad. My dad is 76 and has a traumatic brain injury. He is in a wheelchair, blind, and is no longer verbal. The special person we are looking for will work alongside another caregiver to help my dad with bathing, toileting, and eating. While my dad is transferred by a Hoyer lift, some ability to lift and help position a 140-lb person is necessary. You will need your own transportation and we will require a background check. We will pay between $20 to $28 depending on experience, and we will pay by check and withhold taxes. We are looking for someone to work on Friday (from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. OR 3 p.m to 11 p.m.), Saturdays (from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.), and Sundays (from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.), with the possibility of working more shifts during the week when our other caregivers are sick or on vacation. If you need more hours, we would be flexible to that suggestion.
Most of our caregivers have worked with my dad for over 20 years and they are tremendous people. As my dad is on the decline these days, there is a lot of downtime but when he is awake, we want to have someone kind and who wants to be a part of our wonderful team and family.
