We are looking for a weekend caregiver for a bright autistic 18 year old client (male) who lives with parents. He has minimal speech but communicates through typing. The client has an easy-going, affectionate personality. The position is a 1:1 aide responsible for supervising and supporting activities of daily living (ADL), including but not limited to - eating, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, toileting, and safety.
NOTE: This is NOT a cash-pay job. Federal and state taxes and applicable withholding like social security will be withheld from your paycheck.

RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will be responsible for providing quality care with respect for the client's human dignity.
- Assists the client with activities of daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, personal hygiene
- Drive the client to the park, grocery etc. and maintain safety while in community settings.
- Ensures the client's safety while playing in the yard, swimming, or going for a walk.
- Assists client at mealtime, which may include encouraging the client to eat on his own.
- Report observations of client's behavior, complaints, or physical symptoms to parents
- Maintain neatness of client's room e.g. making the bed
- Light housekeeping, with specific tasks to be agreed up front - e.g. load and unload dishwasher, take trash to curb on Sundays
QUALIFICATIONS
- Polite, punctual, and diligent
- Prior caregiving experience (Required)
- CNA (Strong plus)
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record (Required)
- COVID vaccination (Required)
- Able to pass a background check (Required)
- Excellent communication skills (Required)
- Authorized to work in the US (Required)
SCHEDULE
- 24 hours per week
- Saturday and Sunday 9 am - 9 pm
COMPENSATION
- $35/hour (depending on experience)
- Driving will be compensated at standard Federal rates
- Annual retention bonus
