The Contra Costa County Health Information Technology Department is offering an excellent employment opportunity for a full-time Health Services Information Technology Security Specialist position assigned primarily to the Health Services Information Technology Unit located in Martinez, CA.

Acting as part of the organization's information security incident response team
Maturing the organization's vulnerability management program
Providing usable and understandable information security guidance to a diverse set of stakeholders
Installing, configuring, and maintaining cybersecurity defenses

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in healthcare or business administration, computer science, information security, management information systems, or a closely related field.
Certification: Possession of a: MCITP, CCNA/CCDP, or JunOS are desirable.
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or its equivalent experience including 1 or more years in a healthcare information technology environment, implementing and managing technology security of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, and network protocols in a large, complex, information technology organization.
Substitution for Education: Completion of 60 semester units or 90 quarter units, that included at least twelve semester or eighteen quarter units in computer science plus an additional two years of qualifying experience of the type noted above may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree.
Desirable Qualifications:
Familiarity with developing and operating vulnerability management programs
Familiarity with Microsoft M365 native and 3rd party data classification tools
