Part-time. IHSS enrolled caregiver sought (or willing to enroll). Currently 10-12 hours per week to start, with more hours to come in the near future.
Must be able and willing to assist with daily diabetes care including finger-prick testing and insulin administration. Can train.
Must be willing to work one weekend day per week. Ideal schedule would be Tuesday/Thursday and one weekend day. Flexible. Shifts must begin between 9:30am and 10:30am.
Must have a good sense of humor and a good handle on the English language (spoken/written).
Must have an insured vehicle suitable for carrying a folding push wheelchair. Must be able to transport client short distances for weekly/bi-weekly appointments in the area (mainly Kaiser).
Must be able to assist with Activities of Daily Living including showers, dressing, basic hygiene. No toileting assistance needed at this time. Shower with pull bars and bench available. Must be able to prepare basic dishes including breakfast.
