I am seeking a full-time live-in (female, retired, non-smoker preferred) caregiver for my mom who has Dementia. The caregiver would live in my mom's studio (ADU) in her backyard and work the evening shift providing caregiving for my mom. The home is located in Vallejo in the Steffan Manor district.
The caregiver's responsibilities will include:
Help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Administer prescribed medications according to the schedule. Monitor for any side effects or changes in condition and report them to me. Serve as a companion, and engage in activities to help with her cognitive function and provide reassurance and emotional support to reduce anxiety and agitation.
Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and organizing the living space. Prepare her meals and assist with feeding if necessary. Document any changes if you see any changes in my mom's condition. The hourly rate for the caregiver would be 20.00 -25.00 per hour depending on the experience. The hours would typically be Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from 2:00 pm-10:00 pm.
Live In Studio
The caregiver would live onsite but not in the main house. The ADU Studio is located behind the main house in the backyard. There is a separate entrance. The Studio includes a full bathroom a kitchen area and a living area. The caregiver would be responsible for paying a portion of the utilities (water, garbage, PG&E) which would run about 200.00 - 300.00 monthly.
