Seeking private in-home care for my 93 year old mother. She is cognitively intact, and has a pleasant demeanor. Tasks include lunch preparation, light housekeeping, take her for walks, and other tasks as agreed upon. Recently discharged from hospital stay so also requires toileting assistance and assistance transferring into/out of bed while she recovers. No cooking necessary; prepared foods will be available. No dressing, medicine administration or nursing care needed at this time.
The applicant MUST be in the IHSS (In-Home Support Service) system or actively applying to become an IHSS caretaker in San Mateo County. Information about applying can be found here: https://www.smchealth.org/provider-enrollment. You will be paid through IHSS and would need to get certified through them. It entails watching a video, filling out paperwork and paying a small fee to get fingerprinted.
Client is hearing impaired and immune-compromised. Applicant must be able to communicate clearly in English, and be current on vaccinations, including COVID.
Part-time position: Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm but hours are negotiable. No share-of-cost.
