JOB DUTIES
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
Weekly participation and completion of Safety Meetings.
The Carpenter position is responsible for high quality workmanship of high end residential construction.
Thinks ahead for next steps, including where to set up equipment, staging and storing materials and how to coordinate work around other trades.
Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors or other wooden fixtures used in building using woodworking machines, carpenters hand tools or power tools.
Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace using hand tools.
Protect installed work in progress and finished goods.
Framing of walls, roofs, doors etc for building of residence.
Respectfully take direction from Supervisor
Respectfully give direction to helpers and laborers.
TOOLS USED:
Ladders – Extension, fold up ladders, scaffolding
Level – Laser levels, Spirit Levels and Builders Levels
Power Sanders – Belt sanders, drum sanders, handheld rotary tools and random sanders
Power saws, beam saws, circular saws, reciprocating saws, worm drive saws
Squares – combination squares, framing square, layout jigs.
