The Wright Gardner (thewrightgardner.com) is seeking an experienced gardener/landscaper to join our team. This is a full-time position, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. We are looking for someone who is very knowledgeable about plant identification and is capable, hardworking, and self-starting.
As a member of our team, you will provide our customers, which include many of the Bay Area’s premier organizations, with the professional plant care service required to keep their facilities green and vibrant. Successful applicants will have extremely strong gardening skills, an eye for design, a happy smiling face, excellent face-to-face customer service skills, and a desire to work efficiently and independently out in the field while providing a service people love.
– A driver’s license and a safe driving record is required.
– Gardeners are each assigned several routes, which consist of a series of routine stops in San Francisco to care for client gardens; the employee will perform all the required service at each client and execute each route according to the schedule. Gardeners report to work at their first service location and check out after servicing their last location. We generally do not have weekend or evening work.
-Landscapers/gardeners receive their schedules, log their service, report issues, and request replacement plants using our smartphone app. Comfort using an iPhone or Android device is also a plus, but we will train as needed.
-We are seeking an individual with five years of professional gardening experience. Formal education in horticulture/plant sciences is not necessary provided you have adequate landscaping experience. A firm grasp of irrigation systems and plant identification is essential.
