SortJoy is a fast-growing company based in Oakland that specializing in high-quality, versatile home organization products such as bins and baskets. We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a part-time Shipping Assistant to help with fulfilling orders from our Oakland warehouse.
Job Overview:
As a Shipping Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products reach customers on time and in perfect condition. This is a flexible part-time position ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately pick and pack orders for shipment.
Prepare shipping labels and ensure proper packaging.
Monitor inventory and report low stock to the team.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace in the warehouse.
Assist with receiving and stocking new inventory as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in shipping, fulfillment, or warehouse operations is a plus but not required.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Basic computer skills for creating shipping labels.
A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently or in a team.
Schedule:
10 hours per week (flexible schedule within weekday business hours).
Compensation:
$20 per hour

This position is based in our Oakland warehouse, and applicants must be able to commute to this location.
