Legal Assistant/Trust Administration/Estate Planning

Small established law firm in Los Gatos (in business for 50 years) seeks a qualified candidate to assist with the administration of probated and trust estates after death. This position requires at least five years of experience in an estate planning office, strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy, ability to exercise independent judgement to identify and resolve problems, and the ability to multi-task, set priorities, and work effectively in a high volume, deadline driven environment. Administrative, legal office skills and an aptitude for numbers are required for this position.

Duties will include:

(1) Correspondence, both written and verbal;

(2) File/case management;

(3) Creation and utilization of spreadsheets using Excel;

(4) Research and procurement of valuation for various assets;

(5) Re-titling of real estate and other financial assets;

(6) E-filing and preparation of probate related court documents/forms;

Additional duties include assistance to attorneys and other staff members with client correspondence, phone calls, asset transfers, and data gathering from both clients and third parties.

Main office programs used are: Word, Excel, Clio, Hot Docs, One-Legal, and Essential Forms;
