Busy personal injury law firm seeks responsible and reliable Communications Assistant to assist and facilitate incoming and outgoing communications, particularly electronic communications for firm's managing attorney. The job duties for this position include:
Review incoming emails sent to the firm’s managing attorney;
Prepare daily digest prioritizing managing attorney’s incoming emails;
Report to the managing attorney or other firm staff on daily basis regarding emails requiring immediate response;
Follow up on routine emails on behalf of the managing attorney;
Provide backup support to other firm staff members conducting initial outreach to potential new clients; and
Data entry and other tasks necessary to meet the job duties described above.

Mature judgment and decision-making abilities;
Understands the importance of, and respects, confidentiality and security;
Exhibits trustworthiness, is goal-oriented, ability to work with minimal supervision, but is also a team player;
Excellent computer skills; familiarity with Google products required, Excel desirable but not required; willingness to
learn other computer programs;
Prior experience in a similar position or with a similar type of employer desirable but not required; and
Interest in law or litigation is desirable but not required

The job can be performed 100% remotely, on-premises, or a combination of both options. The Communications Assistant must have a reliable computer or laptop with Internet connection and webcam. The Communications Assistant can set their hours in consultation with firm management so long as the core duties of the position are met daily. The Communications Assistant may be required to attend a weekly or monthly staff meeting, which can be attended virtually or in person. Hours per week – 10-12 flexible with room to expand; Compensation - $20.00/hour
