I’m seeking a polished, detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant / Paid Intern to support me on a project-by-project basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone pursuing interior design (ideal for student), with a natural eye for aesthetics, and seeking hands-on experience working in beautiful residential spaces.
This is not a full-time position.
I am a part-time interior designer and take on select, curated projects — and I’m looking for someone who can support me periodically (as needed) with:
Basic floor plans
SketchUp models (simple, clean layouts)
Measurements + space planning
Sample returns, sourcing, and organizational tasks
Light administrative support related to design projects
This is ideal for someone who:
is pursuing interior design (or adjacent creative fields)
works well independently
has strong attention to detail and visual judgment
is reliable, warm, respectful, and professional
enjoys organization and behind-the-scenes work
wants to learn the trade through real client projects
can maintain confidentiality and discretion
has a polished, calm, and presentable demeanor (clients’ homes are high-end and atmosphere matters)
Must-haves:
Basic SketchUp skills (or similar drafting software)
Ability to create simple, accurate floor plans
Strong aesthetic sense
Reliable transportation
Professional presence and communication
Trustworthy and comfortable working in private homes (only when needed)
Nice-to-haves (not required):
Experience in Houzz Pro design software
A keen sense of color, materials, and spatial intuition
Hours & Pay:
Part-time / project-based
Flexible hours
Paid hourly (based on experience)
