Job Summary: As a Print Studio Assistant, you will work closely with the studio owner to support various responsibilities related to print production, graphic design, marketing, and customer service. This role requires a combination of technical skills in print production and graphic design, as well as excellent organizational and communication abilities. You will assist in managing projects, creating and editing print files, coordinating with clients, and promoting the studio's services to potential customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Print Production:

Assist with print production processes, including setting up and operating large-format printers, plotters, and other equipment.

Prepare and optimize print files for production, ensuring proper formatting, color accuracy, and print quality.

Collaborate with the owner to prioritize print jobs, manage workflow, and meet project deadlines.

Conduct quality control checks on printed materials to ensure they meet the studio's standards.

2. Graphic Design:

Utilize graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to create and modify designs for print projects.

Collaborate with clients and the owner to understand design requirements and create visually appealing graphics.

Prepare print-ready files with appropriate resolutions, color profiles, and formats.

Assist in the creation and maintenance of a library of design templates and assets for future use.

3. Marketing Support:

Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote the studio's services.

Create engaging visual content for social media platforms, website, and promotional materials.

Coordinate with the owner to ensure consistent branding across all marketing materials.

Monitor and respond to customer inquiries, provide quotes, and assist in maintaining client relationships.

4. Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service to clients, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any concerns or issues.

Assist clients in selecting appropriate print materials, finishes, and other specifications.

Communicate project updates, timelines, and delivery details to clients in a professional and timely manner.

Maintain accurate records of client interactions, project details, and billing information.

5. Studio Operations:

Help maintain a clean and organized studio environment, including equipment, supplies, and inventory management.

Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to printing equipment, software, and file compatibility.

Stay updated on industry trends, printing techniques, and software advancements to enhance the studio's capabilities.

Collaborate with the owner to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or education in graphic design, print production, marketing, or related fields is preferred.

Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

Strong understanding of print file preparation, color management, and print quality control.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

Effective communication and customer service skills to interact with clients and promote the studio's services.

Detail-oriented with a strong eye for design and aesthetics.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced studio environment.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle occasional evening or weekend work.

Desired:

Experience operating large-format printers, plotters, or similar print production equipment.

Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software or project management tools is advantageous.

Basic marketing knowledge and experience in creating visual content for social media platforms is a plus.

Experience with Corebridge Software, an order entry, job tracking, client communications, and invoicing platform.
