French Meadows is a growing fashion brand that specializes in corsets, fantasy-inspired clothing, Renaissance Faire costumes, leather goods, and cottagecore designs. We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service and Order Fulfillment Specialist. Position Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for managing customer communications and fulfilling orders across multiple online platforms, including Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, and TikTok. You’ll ensure our customers have an excellent experience from the moment they place an order to the moment they receive their package. This is currently a part-time, in-person position in Sebastopol, CA. As our company continues to grow and you learn the different tasks, we hope to eventually make this a full time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all customer communications across various platforms (Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, TikTok, social media), ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Process and fulfill orders with attention to detail, packaging items with care and ensuring accurate shipments.
- Address customer inquiries regarding orders, returns, shipping, product details, and policies in a friendly and clear manner.
- Assist with managing inventory, restocking and replenishment, and ensuring product listings are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while managing tasks efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with the team to continuously improve our order fulfillment and customer service processes.
- Other fun occasional duties include assisting on location photoshoots, managing social media collaborations, and helping out at Renaissance Faires (we hope to start vending at them in the future!)
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Excellent attention to detail – accuracy in processing orders is crucial.
- Must be comfortable working in an environment with cats (they like to hang out with us in the office!)
- Preferred: A background or interest in fashion or theater.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (Etsy, Shopify, Amazon) and social media is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a seasonal business environment (busy in summer, slower in winter).
- Familiarity with social media trends, cottagecore and other fashion niches
- Experience with any of the following skills is a huge plus: fashion design, sewing, patternmaking, Photoshop, Lightroom, social media marketing, and/or Canva. We are a small brand but growing every year, and if you have skills in any of these areas, your job responsibilities could expand as you grow within the company
Work Environment:
- This is an in-person position located on our property about 10 minutes outside of downtown Sebastopol. We offer a relaxed, unconventional working environment that’s perfect for someone looking for a non-corporate job.
- Hours can vary based on seasonality, with busier periods in the summer and a slower pace in the winter.
Compensation & Hours:
- Part-time position: 15-35 hours per week (more in summer, less in winter).
- Pay rate: $23-$27/hour DOE.
- Schedule flexibility is available (especially in slower months) but you must be able to work in person on site.
We are currently in the process of relocating to Sebastopol, so this position does not begin until January 2025
