HECO PACIFIC Manufacturing, Inc. is engineering and manufacturing company located in Union City, CA, we build overhead bridge cranes from ¼ Ton to 300 Ton capacities.
We are seeking a talented fabricator/machinist who is highly motivated and experienced individual. The employee will be responsible for required work performed in our shop using drawings and all of his own hand tools. The employee should meet the above requirements and be very organized, very resourceful, self-motivated, hands-on, detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills and enjoy working closely with others in an occasionally intense environment with a great team of people.

Requirements/Duties:
- Certified welder to AWS D1.1
- Drilling, burning, cutting using standard steel tools
- Produce high quality work quickly and accurately, blue print reading is a must
- Have experience assembling machine parts, motors, brakes, gear reducers etc.
- May include some travel to job site
- Be safety oriented, safety is a priority at HECO Pacific. Safety glasses, foot protection (steel toe),
should be worn at all times. Hard hats required as needed.
- US Citizen for work on Government bases is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work and communicate very effectively with engineers, customers, and vendors.
- Comply with HECO rules and regulations (drug free, on time everyday)

- Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders,
pounding with hammer - Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold. - Ability to work in elevated areas - Must be able to operate heavy equipment

- Compensation
The hourly rate and benefits will be under the CMTA-IAM Master Agreement and experience. This currently includes medical, dental and eye care after waiting period.
- Work Hours
Our normal working hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm M-F, the lunch period is from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm. Additional hours may be required to complete tasks.
- Probation Period
The probationary period is the initial period of employment. The period may be as long as 6 months. During this time, the supervisor evaluates the employee’s:
· Ability to learn and perform job duties
· Quality of work
· Productivity
· Work habits
· Cooperation
· Attendance
· Punctuality
· Other standards and expectations specific to the employee’s work situation
- Ability to Work
· The new employee agrees that they have no pre existing injuries
· The new employee can lift 40 lbs to their shoulders, this is required due to the type of materials we work with
