We are an established equipment manufacturing company seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Stock Room / Shipping Associate. Key Responsibilities:
Material Management: Oversee the receiving, packing, and shipping of materials.
Shipping Coordination: Work with carriers like FedEx and UPS to schedule deliveries and pickups, ensuring timely and accurate shipments.
Inventory Control: Maintain and manage inventory using MRP systems, including sorting, labeling, counting, and kitting parts.
Process Adherence: Follow established procedures to ensure goods and materials are handled and stocked correctly.
Purchasing Support: Assist with purchasing and buyer-related activities as needed.
Industry Knowledge: Apply basic knowledge of machine shop operations, machining, and sheet metal processes.
Administrative Tasks: Utilize basic computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word, for documentation and reporting.
Communication: Effectively communicate with team members, vendors, and shipping companies.
Qualifications:
Previous experience with FedEx, UPS, or similar shipping systems.
Familiarity with inventory management or MRP systems.
Basic understanding of machine shop or sheet metal processes (a plus).
Strong arithmetic and problem-solving skills.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn new skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
