Scandic Springs manufactures precision progressive stampings, fourslide stampings, custom coil springs, and CNC wire forms. Scandic is the largest spring and stamping company in Northern California, and is a family owned company in its 3rd generation.
Scandic’s tooling staff builds progressive dies up to 95 inches long, fourslide tooling, blanking dies, compound forming dies, and tooling with automatic in-die tapping. This job is not just maintaining tools, our tooling staff supports production with troubleshooting, tool design and tool builds.
We are looking to hire experienced toolmakers, and will train applicants with applicable experience.
Experience may include:
Journeyman level Tool and Die Maker OR applicants with manufacturing experience, willing to join our apprentice program
Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting progressive, compound, and blanking tools
Conventional milling, lathe and surface, and form grinding
Wire EDM proficiency is a plus
AutoCad proficiency preferred by not required
Requirements:
Ability to read and understand prints
Ability to use optical comparator for inspection of finished parts
Be willing to work collaboratively with Scandic's other toolmakers and operators
Be willing to help train apprentices and staff training programs
