General Description
Employee will perform routine manual and clerical work involved with receiving, unpacking and stocking in an industrial stockroom. The employee will issue material from the stockroom to fill production and other parts orders.
Duties
The employee's duties will include but not be limited to the following:
- Receive and unpack incoming packages/freight from suppliers and verify/receive contents against purchase orders.
- Prepare received material for stocking on stockroom shelves or other designated storage areas, including marking material with part numbers or identification labels.
- Stock materials on the stockroom shelves and other designated storage areas.
- Pull material from shelves to fill work orders for the production floor and other areas.
- Prepare/Package parts for shipping.
- Monitor/maintain inventory accuracy through physical inventories and cycle counting and advise supervisor of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Maintain stockroom in an orderly manner
Skills
- Ability to perform basic math for inventory purposes.
- Computer skills are necessary to monitor/maintain daily cycle counting
- Good communication skills to work with others in the organization.
Qualifications
- Previous stockroom experience, preferably in industrial environment
- High school diploma / GED
- Clean background check
Job Location: Santa Clara, CA
Hours/Week: 40. OT may be offered as needed.
Normal shift: M-F 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, negotiable.
