Teach children’s (age 3–10) dance classes with a specialty in Jazz. All classes are conducted on-site at the JCCSF Dance School. In addition, the instructor helps create and maintain a clean and safe environment for dance participants.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach children ages 3–10
Follow curriculum for all classes
Work collaboratively with other dance instructors
Perform additional duties as required for the dance program
REQUIREMENTS
Recent experience teaching children
Provide a sample lesson plan for a children’s 50-minute dance class (ballet or hip-hop)
Must be reliable, warm and welcoming, and have good communication skills
WORKING CONDITION
Work is conducted on-site at the JCCSF
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to demonstrate and teach a variety of dance movements
STATUS
Non-benefited, non-exempt position
HOURS
6–8 hours weekly
SCHEDULE
Tuesday & Thursday, 3pm – 6pm with potential for additional prep/clean-up time at beginning and end of shift as needed
