Administrative Assistant

Recovery Survival Network, commonly referred to as RSN, is located in the heart of the San Francisco Mission District. All applicants must pass a live scan background check to be considered for this position.

Target Population:

Our target population includes individuals reentering the community from the criminal justice system, Welfare-to-Work participants, the homeless, veterans, low-income families, and at-risk youth. We have developed supportive services to help our clients overcome various barriers that have prevented them from entering gainful employment. Applicants should be prepared to assist participants who have been out of the workforce and work with group facilitators to help them with career advancement referrals and options. This position is challenging and requires a highly organized leader who can positively impact the populations we serve.

Position: Administrative Assistant

All applicants must have an understanding of diverse populations, including justice-involved individuals and low-income families with multiple barriers to employment and self-sufficiency. This role requires someone with experience in using Word, Excel, Email, and QuickBooks software, along with a solid understanding of city, state, and federal grant budgets and proposal grant writing.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED equivalent

- Preferably a minimum of 2 years of recent experience

- References required from previous employers

- Excellent computer skills in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access database

- Reliable and patient

- Knowledge of cultural competency

- Ability to work with a diverse group of people

Responsibilities:

- Daily updates to the ARMS database (training provided by contractor)

- Prepare monthly reports, manage office responsibilities, ensure grant compliance reporting, and handle invoicing

- Maintain neat and accurate files

- Communicate with office staff in a professional manner

- Valid California driver's license or DMV ID

- Proof of insurance if driving to work

Transportation:

Our location is at a central intersection in San Francisco's Mission District. All Muni bus lines on Mission Street frequently pass by the intersection of 16th and Mission seven days a week. We are directly across the street from the 16th Street BART station. The bus lines include 12, 14, 22, 33, and 49.
