Companion Bakeshop is a small quality-driven bakery in Santa Cruz, CA. We have been named Best Bread by Santa Cruz County for the past decade and we take pride in making the best, organic pastries and sourdough in the area. In our cafes, we sell specialty coffee, espresso, and teas, in our cozy and happy space in which we welcome our community to share our love of coffee and baked goods.
Companion is currently looking for an office assistant to join our team at our Westside office location. This person will do a variety of tasks including, but not limited to the following:
Small bills Cash handling/tips
Printing & prepping
Payroll prep- Tracking of time and attendance for all teams
Bakery Pre-orders and holiday details/organization
Signage needs
Simple Website changes
Tracking and renewals for licensing for all buildings
Assistance with preparing weekly check deposits
Organizing all team member files
Assistance with onboarding printing and paperwork filing
Monthly purchases of team/kitchen supplies
Organization of driving records/ truck insurance
Tracking of new bakeshop memberships
Tracking all workshop sign ups & creating rosters for workshops
Upkeep of employee contact sheet
We are looking for a kind, patient & detailed oriented person, excited to jump in and help us create systems for organizing our office. Knowledge with the following programs is preferred, but training will be available.
Quickbooks online,
Homebase (or any time card program),
Squarespace
Toast POS
20 hours a week with flexible scheduling.
