Service Tech - Job Duties
1. Ascertains bicycle problems and services by listening to customer’s description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; conducting inspections; taking test rides; checking bicycle maintenance records; examining service schedules.
2. Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer’s payment, including deductibles.
3. Prepares work orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as parts and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering work orders into service database system.
4. Develops relationships by promoting regular maintenance and care, inviting customers to in-store events and generally works to make sure each customer is getting the most out of their product.
5. Maintains accurate records by recording critical customer and product data such as: Product Serial Number, Customer Name, Address, Phone Number, Email address and preferred method of contact.
6. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities such as industry and manufacturer training.
Sales
We are looking for a FT/PT sales associate with experience in retail or other sales. Bicycle experience is appreciated, but extensive training is available. We specialize in high end road and mountain bicycles, with emphasis on customer service and a better customer experience. As such, the most important quality we are looking for is a positive attitude, and efficient work ethic.
Sales associate responsibilities include:
1. Helping customers in their product and service searches. Responding quickly to their requests and updating throughout any process.
2. Facing, merchandising and receiving of products
3. Accumulating Knowledge about the bikes and products we stock
4. Fitting customers to bicycles
5. Assisting service staff in work load
6. Assisting store and general managers in operations
