We install home and commercial networks in the Bay Area and southern California.
We're looking for a project manager with network engineering experience in in the Ubiquiti UniFi ecosystem.
Successful project management of installations will look like the following:
- ensuring we have sufficient inventory for our jobs in advance, and that the relevant team members have the hardware accessible on install day (e.g., if the gear will be delivered to them directly, to a storage facility, or will need to be picked up from a local re-seller).
- contacting the customer to communicate updated arrival times for the teem, making sure they have a friendly point of contact for the job.
- checking in with installers on morning of the install to make sure they have everything they need, including wiring materials, equipment, and installer notes.
- making sure the customer approves of the hardware and wiring being installed, as well as equipment locations.
serving as a middle person between the installers, engineers, customers, and management, so that everyone remains on the same page throughout the installation.
- walking installers through power-up, adoption, and basic config of hardware per customer's spec, then passing to engineering for final optimization and touch-ups
- checking up on installation progress through the day to ensure things are going smoothly.
coordinating materials and hardware purchases and delivery on the day of if additional materials are needed.
- wrapping up with the customer at the end of the installation, including – final walkthrough, speed testing, home internet devices being connected to the new system, then finishing with invoicing and scheduling their orientation to get acquainted with the new system.
In order to best serve our customer locations, this position is US and Pacific Standard Time zone preferred, mostly remote, we are open to other US timezone locations if you're not located in California.
If you are based in the Bay Area of California, have transportation, and also have experience with low-voltage wiring you would be welcomed to come to the job sites to work with the installation team and manage the projects in-person. This would be a full-time position in that scenario.
