Title: Retail Sales Associate
Store: Nick Engel & Co. San Francisco
Classification: Part-time to start and must work weekends; full-time offered after 3 weeks and/or training completion
The sales associate is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations at Nick Engel & Co. This includes offering customer service, maintaining store appearance and cleanliness, providing support and assisting with all necessary tasks for keeping the store running smoothly. With the oversight, training and support of your co-workers, the sales associate will ensure that Nick Engel & Co. is represented well and that every customer walks away with a positive experience.
Skills & Qualifications:
● Three or more years of experience in fine jewelry retail sales and customer service
Experience with fine jewelry is essential to performing this role but willing to train
● Ability to provide top-notch customer service
● Excellent verbal & written communication skills
● Ability to work effectively with co-workers and complete tasks without conflict
● Familiar with Square POS (or similar systems) with transactions including basic math skills
● Dependability and promptness for timely set up to open and close store
● Physical requirements may include the ability to move and lift heavy items
Job Requirements and Responsibilities:
● Arriving for scheduled shift on time
● Clocking in and out accurately with attendance
● Opening and closing the store according to opening/closing procedures
● Learning about store policies; services, products and providing information to customers
● High volume email correspondence utilizing thoughtful scenarios; coordinate scheduling due dates & timelines
● Receiving customer repairs; drop offs and pick ups
● Assisting with online platform initiatives when necessary
● Maintaining store appearance and cleanliness; perform scheduled cleaning duties
● Performing all other necessary tasks associated with store operations and delivering customer satisfaction
