Engineering Manager (Salary Range: $239,200/yr - $244,200/yr): Integrate the company’s perception software stack with its sensor to unlock its full capabilities and implement software quality systems. The perception software permits detection and classification as well as object tracking for passenger vehicles, trucks, and robotaxis. Develop product roadmaps, requirements, test cases, and software designs. Provide support and development of comprehensive test methodologies to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. Perform coding and ensure that the designed solutions conform to architectural requirements, such as scalability, maintainability, reliability, extensibility, usability, and security. Work on new feature development, as well as maintenance of existing features and removing “blocks” or bugs in the development life cycle by using source code control system on Github. Elaborate, estimate, and design for small increments of work based on sprint planning. Provide clear and complete documentation based on the definition of the software development process. Guide the Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capability dEtermination (ASPICE) process. Conduct “Scrums” for improved collaboration and development activities with other engineers. Prepare US-based team members in the following areas: programming languages C and python; Conan package management tool; code quality; software testing and the utilized testing framework; introduction to our build scripts, automated build server, automated deployment server, and quality metrics generation and reporting. Hire team members and conduct training and employee development activities. Conduct employee performance evaluations for team members.
Local Telecommuting Permitted. Minimal travel under 10% (domestic/international).
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field. 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a closely related occupation.
SKILLS: Must have:
1. Experience leading “scrums” and creating computer programming commands (build scripts).
2. Experience programming in object-oriented development software: Python and C.
3. Experience with Conan package management tool.
4. Experience with Catch 2 framework.
5. Experience using source code control system on Github.
