Maplebear Inc. D/B/A Instacart in San Francisco, CA seeks Senior Analyst, Data Operations (Multiple Openings).
Responsibilities: Responsible for tapping into one of the largest pools of first-party data in the grocery ecommerce space to help advertisers understand and improve the performance of multi-million-dollar media budgets. Duties include: developing and maintaining key metrics such as search trends, distribution insights, and brand sales performance to inform advertising spending decisions; analyzing budgets, business requirements, growth goals, and financial metrics to extract actionable insights to improve performance using the Instacart Ads platform; analyzing key metrics to uncover trends and root causes of issues and providing strategic recommendations to achieve desired outcomes; building and optimizing high level business and financial metrics, analytical reports, dashboards, and other tools to drive data-driven decision making; identifying and adopting best practices for reporting, data integrity, validation, and documentation to ensure quality insights as the business grows and evolves; and other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental United States but will report directly to Instacart headquarters in San Francisco, CA.
Education: Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related analytical field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: 18 months of experience in the job offered or related. Other special requirements include: 18 months of experience analyzing complex and large data sets using SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages; 18 months of experience developing compelling data visualizations with Periscope, Mode, Spreadsheets, or similar data visualization tools; 18 months of experience handling, manipulating, and drawing actionable insights from data sets to improve budget spending decisions; 18 months of experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to automate processes and build reporting solutions; and 18 months of experience working with Zoho Desk, Jira, Git, or similar issue tracking systems.
