Senior Software Test Engineer (Wage Offer: $183,726/yr): Validate the function of Autonomous Driving software for the company’s long-range perception solution. Collaborate with Systems and Software engineering teams to translate and map automotive requirements into robust end-to-end product validation requirements and processes. Design and execute functional tests to validate the integration of our software and hardware products in both internal and external development vehicle platforms. Perform critical Verification & Validation tests for perception software and hardware and integration activities that drive development. Collaborate with internal and external Technical Program Managers to inform all parties of software performance and testing status. Monitor the critical defects with an in-depth analysis of engineering leadership. Identify product and functionality gaps and collaborate with internal product and technology teams to define the necessary development to support solution delivery. Identify, triage, and track software issues throughout their entire lifecycle. Supports cross-functional root cause analysis, create test cases, and document test results in Jama. Facilitate the review and approval of test plans. Author software release documentation for internal and external customer base. Develop and maintain testing documentation to adhere to ASPICE (Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capability Determination), FuSa (Functional Safety), and ISO 26262 standards (automotive specific compliance focusing on safety).
Travel 10% (Sweden, Germany & Orlando, FL). Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field. 2 years of experience as a Test Engineer, Test Analyst, Software Engineer, or a related occupation.
SKILLS: Must have:
1. Two (2) years of experience developing and conducting software tests in the automotive industry.
2. Experience evaluating automotive sensor performance and automation using automotive test tools (Vector tools) and Python.
3. Experience validating software for automotive compliance (ISO 26262, ASPICE).
4. Experience designing functional tests for autonomy software, including software integration and qualification testing, using Python, C, or Vector tools.
5. Experience creating technical product validation activities for work products, including creating Test Plan, Test Strategy and Test Reports.
6. Must possess the following certification: ISTQB Certified Tester, Foundation Level.
