We are a small boutique skincare practice located in Union Square looking for a person with a strong work ethic, someone who is eager to learn how to perform effective skincare treatments, and manage the day to day business operations.
Are you recently graduated with your California State Board licensing in Esthetics and would like the opportunity to learn advanced skincare techniques and work with high end clientele? Or already a seasoned esthetician and work at an established esthetics practice or Med Spa, but ready to transition into being your own boss? Well, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Skill Sets and Requirements Needed for the Ideal Candidate:
Must possess a current Esthetics License for the state of California.
Must be able to work independently on your own.
Must be willing to work weekends and evenings seeing clients when they are able to take care of their health and beauty appointments.
Must be extremely positive, upbeat, and pleasant with an award winning customer service attitude.
Must have an incredible work ethic and be able to keep appointments without rescheduling and canceling on clients due to personal issues.
Must have a 'can do' attitude when it comes to learning new skill sets.
Must have a strong desire to keep a clean and sanitized work environment at all times.
Must be able to work outside the scope of the normal job requirements without any issues or concerns.
Must work well under pressure of when the day does not go exactly as planned.
Must be self-motivated in all areas of the business managing your schedule, and interacting with clients.
Must have good communication skills both verbal and written.
Must possess a normal skill level with computer/technology such as: emailing attachments, managing online vendor and inventory relationships, using mobile business apps, creating simple spreadsheets, managing online scheduling software systems and appointments with clients, as well as on-boarding new clients.
Must be able to work with the owner to build-up your clientele, and understand the importance of client retention.
Must be able to work with a passion to sell retail products to clients as solutions to skincare concerns, and understand this is an important component to staying connected and seeing skincare progress with your client.
Must be driven and focused in the treatment room since there will be multifaceted tasks i.e. performing facials, retail sales, and processing payments for the client, this is a small practice and there will be no support staff to assist you with day to day operations, so you will need to be able to manage all of these aspects on your own with grace, and a pleasant demeanor.
Must be willing to submit four job references (any industry is fine) and agree to a background check if considered for this position.
Owner will perform training and coaching initially, as well as provide administrative support and guidance, but you will need to be able to manage day-to-day operations and clients eventually on your own. Eventually the overall goal is for the ideal candidate to be able to run the practice as though it were their own. Salary will reflect experience and work history, and can be discussed during the initial interview.
