Systems Administrator

Responsible for providing technology design, support, and maintenance of client networks and virtual hosting environment. Supporting servers and systems. This position works directly with clients.

ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS

This position reports to the CFO and works with all technology and support staff.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide daily support to clients, both onsite and remotely. Design networks and troubleshoot networking issues. Network maintenance for client systems (including, but not limited to OS upgrades, security checks, configuration changes, SNMP setup, backup, security management, user account management, e-mail systems including Exchange and SMTP, Internet access, and application support).

Server maintenance and support

Backup maintenance, monitoring and point of escalation

Assist CTO with maintenance of the secure ISP.

Provide support for server, network and desktop hardware, software and applications.

Microsoft 365 migration exchange online setup/trouble shoot maintenance.

Hardware and software troubleshooting

Hardware installation and maintenance

Maintain client documentation – document servers, workstations, network devices as needed, update documentation

as necessary for environmental changes.

Provide support per client managed services agreement

Design and maintain Active Directory networks with deep understanding of group policy

Other duties as assigned

Knowledge of Remote Desktop and/or Citrix is helpful but not required

QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Education: High school diploma. MCSE or commensurate experience.

Experience: 5 plus years' experience working in network design and troubleshooting.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

SKILLS

Demonstrated knowledge of Windows servers (2016, 2019) and Active Directory.

Demonstrated knowledge of networking, including OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS

Proven ability to setup and maintain Microsoft servers and Active Directory.

Ability to quickly diagnose client issues and look for a timely solution

Good customer client relationship skills

Ability to work on and manage multiple projects, systems, activities and tasks simultaneously.

Ability to carefully document

Highly developed verbal and written communications.
