The quest continues : We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at Art's Automotive in Berkeley. Our focus is the main Japanese manufacturing groups Toyota (Lexus), Honda (Acura), Mazda and Subaru. We handle everything from routine maintenance to more advanced diagnostic work dealing with networks, programming, air conditioning, high voltage battery service, ADAS adjusting, manual and electronic locksmithing and all manor of undercar service. We are also a Repair Only Smog shop and operate Monday thru Friday.

We are looking for at least five years experience and adequate personal tools. We carry tool insurance and the shop has three layers of security. You would have a clean California drivers license, excellent attention to details and the ability to interact with coworkers. You will be offered compensation reflecting your skills and experience. It costs more to live within a commuting distance to this location , we are aware that Bay Area workers need more. Signing bonus and relocation funds are available. Dont be surprised if we exceed your expectations. We pay for training and the costs of taking the optional ASE exams. We have a generous list of benefits to offer such as medical, dental, paid sick days and holidays, vacations and matching funds in our Simple IRA retirement account. You will be assigned a laptop and landline at your bench , uniforms and linen service included. We close the office between 12 and 1 each day and you can chose 30, 45 or 60 minutes lunch breaks. On Friday we provide a nice lunch in our comfortable break/meeting room and we discuss interesting topics including occasional safety training and your voice will be heard. Soft drinks and snacks are provided throughout the week. Once your settled in here you will want to stay till retirement.
