Fault Line Plumbing, Inc. is looking for a commercial service plumbing supervisor. We do not offer after-hours or weekend plumbing service; overtime is aimed at being minimal.
Required skills (at journeyman level):
Firm grasp of the California Plumbing Code,
Can recall from memory the rules concerning pipe supports, material installation requirements and fixture compliance rules,
Sweating, desweating and resweating copper tubing up to 3” in size,
Brazing copper tubing,
Threading and grooving steel pipe,
Pipefitting using offset measurements,
Drawing isometric drawings and developing comprehensive material lists from said drawings,
Cutting and fitting cast iron soil pipe (extra bonus to those who can use lead & oakum),
A complete understanding of potable water, domestic hot water, sanitary and storm sewer systems,
A firm understanding of how to size natural gas piping systems,
A firm understanding of how to size sanitary and storm sewer systems,
A basic understanding of how to size potable water systems,
Understanding of calculating exhaust flue and combustion air requirements is a bonus but not required,
Reading and interpreting piping diagrams, schematics and blueprints,
Draw as-built drawings on existing design plans,
Lay out accurately complex underground piping,
Drain-cleaning and operating a sewer camera

Daily Responsibilities
Assist project coordinator with ensuring each project has someone of the right skill level,
Assisting project coordinator and field staff with material identification and procurement,
Providing phone and in-person support to field staff,
Troubleshooting complex problems and developing a scope of work detailing labor and material necessary for resolution,
Provide in-shop and in-field technical training to field staff regarding best practices, safety, new tooling, etc.,
Perform job walks and assist with engineering & design of installation systems,
Ensure that field staff vehicles inventory levels are maintained and tools kept in good proper order
General requirements:
Able to retain and execute verbal instructions,
Able to both follow and provide written instructions,
Excellent written and spoken communication skills,
Authorized to work within the United States,
Capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs. throughout the day,
Fluent in the English language, both oral and written,
Valid California state driver’s license
