We are a medium-sized commercial plumbing, mechanical & fire sprinkler contractor focused on northern California. We are currently hiring a senior estimator.
Minimum requirements:
Sufficient experience with the California Plumbing Code and plumbing practices to accurately and efficiently engage with engineers, GC project managers, clients and AHJs in design approvals,
Proficiency in in estimating jobs between $100,000 and $2,000,000 in size,
Proficiency in design-build of plumbing related systems,
Valid California driver’s license,
Ability to write and communicate detailed change orders including material lists and labor scopes,
Capable of developing productive relationships with existing and new clients,
Fluency with reading job costing/profit & loss reports,
Interest in the developing technologies of the building trades and a willingness to learn about and deploy them,
Proficiency in reading blueprints and other construction drawings
Example of Responsibilities:
Produce job change orders and estimates for plumbing and fire protection jobs
Updating estimating program to ensure pricing is accurate
Supervising estimator(s)
Consult on pricing change orders on plumbing and fire jobs
Produce an as-built drawing for all plumbing jobs
Follow up on proposals and change orders
Perform job walks when considered necessary and appropriate
