Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Cal-Line Equipment, an Owen Company, is looking to hire an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing team at our Livermore location. We specialize in vegetation management equipment, catering to the arborist industry and are the largest dealer in the world for Bandit Industries’ market leading product line of woodchippers, stump grinders and whole-tree chippers. We have seven locations across the Western U.S. including locations in California, Oregon, and Washington. In addition, we are a leader in promoting education within our industry, conducting seminars ranging from safety, operations and maintenance and bugs and disease.

Salary: $28.00 - $40.00 an hour depending on experience.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Description:

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be working on commercial woodchippers, stump grinders, mini skids steers.

Troubleshoot machine breakdowns, diagnosis

Test run and/or inspect vehicles and equipment for wear, damage, or specific problems that might affect performance.

Utilize computer diagnostic equipment.

Perform factory recommended preventative maintenance & inspection.

Ensure guards and safety devices are functioning properly.

Write clear parts requisitions and service write-ups.

The individuals will maintain good attendance and punctuality

Perform miscellaneous related duties as required and assigned by manager

Qualifications:

Highly prefer 3+ years of mechanical experience in construction equipment or heavy diesel equipment with hydraulic and electrical experience.

Able to communicate effectively with customer, supervisor, and fellow employees.

Possess tooling required by the service department.
